Raymond J. Siegel

Raymond Siegel is a senior corporate and consulting professional with over twenty-five years experience as a corporate manager and problem solver. Ray brings a strong analytical approach to each assignment that balances practicality with common sense thinking to every project.

His strategic and problem solving experiences include: complicated tax structures; an array of capital market issues; the restructuring of troubled situations; cross border financings; complex bank negotiations and M&A. He has two years experience as a member of a DIP management team of a diversified manufacturer of boats, RV’s, photocopy machines, and manufactured housing. He also drafted the original reorganization plan and handled the day to day banking relationships for the DIP.

In 1988, he built an internationally recognized finance team and built a global network of over thirty commercial and investment banks. In 1992, Business International, the research arm of The Economist magazine, named his team one of the top 50 Global Finance Departments in the world based on creativity.

He has started credit departments in both the United States and in Europe, and has formed Asset Liability Management Committees at the corporate level. Ray developed and installed systems and procedures to monitor and control assets globally. He initiated and planned a sophisticated risk management program that measured the performance of interdependent operating units. Other systems include: treasury work stations; coordinated global debt reporting; asset liability management; asset/liability/equity duration analysis; funding gap analysis and asset portfolio quality monitoring systems.

In the M&A arena, Ray has led or participated in the acquiring and divesting of leasing companies, lease portfolios, and business continuity companies in the U.S., Canada, England, France and Switzerland. He used creative financial engineering to finance all these acquisitions, including the acquisition of an FFR 3 billion company.

Ray also has identified strategic purchasers for and negotiated the sale of manufactured housing facilities and the sale of two retail marine operations. He has provided temporary management for companies engaged in manufactured housing, retail marine and storage, and waste management.

As a consultant he negotiated, financed and structured the purchase of a $115 million international portion of a public company for a large privately held firm. He has also been an expert witness for a Big Five auditing firm, and is co-founder and a Managing Director of Global Securitization Services, LLC.

Ray received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. Joseph's College. He has an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a MM from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management where he was Class Salutatorian.
